math book
i just finish reading this wonderful math book from the library and i better type down whatever i remember....
i once receive an e-mail highlighting the striking parallels between Lincoln and Kennedy and was actually fooled...but in actual fact, its only normal for them to have those similarities, 1 men's lifetime is full of thousands, millions of data and for 2 men to share like only 10 of them? ITS PERFECTLY NORMAL, STATISTICALLY
just like how those psychologists do experiments by separating twins and see how they grow up, usually these twins might have some similarities which will amaze some people, but in actual fact they need not be twins or related to have those similarities...
same as those investment scams when they can actually predict correctly for 10 consecutive weeks....its all because they send all different kinds of mails to a large database, each week they just have to shave off half the population
chaos theory: in maths chaos theory is not referring to how chaotic the equations are, but actually how a minor change in the initial input can cause a dramatic change in the eventual outcome, thus in chaos theory we believe that the outcome depends greatly on the initial conditions and since a small change and interference somewhere can cause great changes...we aren't able to predict things in a long run...like weather
imagine you have a piece of A4 paper, each iteration you fold it into half, after 50 times, how high can you get...? a foot? a building?

draw a square, extend out the bottom line towards the left, mark a center point at the bottom of the square. using a compass, fixing it at the center point, starting from the top left corner of the square, draw a curve down to the bottom extended line.

i hope the rigorous proof of this stays with me forever...simply start by assuming that the square has length 2

squaring a circle
Squaring the circle is a problem proposed by ancient geometers. It is the challenge to construct a square with the same area as a given circle by using only a finite number of steps with compass and straightedge. More abstractly and more precisely, it may be taken to ask whether specified axioms of Euclidean geometry concerning the existence of lines and circles entail the existence of such a square.
In 1882, the task was proven to be impossible, as a consequence of the fact that pi (π) is a transcendental, rather than algebraic irrational number; that is, it is not the root of any polynomial with rational coefficients. It had been known for some decades before then that if π were transcendental then the construction would be impossible, but that π is transcendental was not proven until 1882. Approximate squaring to any given non-perfect accuracy, on the other hand, is possible in a finite number of steps, as a consequence of the fact that there are rational numbers arbitrarily close to π.

when i first join this team .. 2 seniors once told me .. the team is politically 'clean' .. meaning no politics .. I'm from council background... from there .. i already realized .. the top 2 positions of a team .. actually doesn't need to do much .. just need to set direction .. and be the names in the structure of a team .. thats all .. pretty much depends on the subsets of the structure
and that .. this MIGHT be the 2nd time i m experiencing incompetent leadership .."

And lost my cap, a cap that is no longer in production and i have to spend half of my pay from today to buy a new one

grandma
On Sunday my family went to visit Granny (we visit frequently so its not just cause of M-day)
she seems to be getting thinner each time
more wrinkles
doesn't seems to be eating much, i'm afriad she's too lazy to cook for herself and as long as she doesn't have appetite, she doesn't eat...which is wrong
Being thrifty by nature, she sometimes heat up leftovers and eat for the next meal
when i was much younger, separation issues never occurred to me, it was when i turned 18 and i started to experienced friends' parents passing away and stuff i realized death is so near us
i read more news and see natural disasters happening all the time, anyway in case you don't know geologist have claimed that the recent earthquake in China is caused by men's actions

Business ideas
A few business ideas that hatched in my head...
1) this occurred recently
--> open sweet talk franchise at YIH, hire some specific people to work there, no machine blender, all are to be done manually
2) this occurred in first year of army
--> during CNY go buy a lot a lot of Big sweep, TOTO, 4D quick pick tickets. Then dress up as fortune god and sell them away at double the price. Or set up a vending machines that trades all the tickets mentioned above...price remains as mentioned, machine shaped like fortune god, with music playing.
3) a year ago
--> set up a soy bean drinks stall outside SDBA, and also a massage parlour...both open during weekends can already
4) 4 days ago
--> during the exam period and on public holidays, set up a make shift food and drinks stall at YIH, FASS, FOS, FOB...need not be very good stuff...just do it like those construction site stalls...but of course must make the packaging look good
5) second year of army
--> open up a club...hire some hot chicks to patronize the club day in night out, they must never say no to any men's advances. So after a while there will be a massive man crowd coming here thinking that there's lots of cheap sluts waiting to be preyed. Of Course they might get too used to the girls and thus we need hire new ones...thats when multi level marketing comes in, get the old girls to bring in their friends, i give them pills, drinks. On top of there the girls stand a chance of hooking up a rich man.
